We are proud to announce that Seal Rescue Ireland is one of our charity partners for 2025. Their outstanding work involves rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing injured or stranded seals along Ireland’s coastline, while also raising crucial awareness about ocean conservation.

Last Friday, Adam Merriman and Morgan James visited Seal Rescue Ireland to meet the dedicated team and see the pool that we proudly sponsored. During their visit, they also had the pleasure of meeting Sunny (also known as Sun Star), our adopted seal.

Sunny was rescued on 7th January from Clare Island Beach in County Mayo. At the time of his rescue, he was extremely underweight—only 17kg—and was congested with several minor injuries on his back flippers and head. Thanks to the expert care provided by Seal Rescue Ireland, Sunny is now thriving and is scheduled to be released in the coming weeks.

Seal Rescue Ireland’s commitment to seal care and education is commendable. Their dedicated work not only safeguards these amazing creatures but also provides communities with valuable insights into marine conservation.

We look forward to supporting Seal Rescue Ireland in 2025 and beyond! To learn more about their vital work and discover how you can get involved, please visit their website at www.sealrescueireland.org

We’re proud to share the success of a recently completed Energy Improvement Pathway project at Naas Retail Park. This project focused on upgrading the common area lighting system to a 100% LED lighting setup as part of a revised lighting strategy. The initiative delivered substantial energy savings, enhanced lighting levels across key areas, and significantly improved the customer journey by creating a safer, more inviting environment.

🔑 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:

• 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮-𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆: Leveraged insights from our energy monitoring platform to develop a strategy that reduced energy consumption and enabled informed, data-driven decisions.
• 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆: Achieved an approximate 37% reduction in electricity demand, tracking at approximately 4,300 kWh of energy savings for January compared to the previous year.
• 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆: Developed a lighting controls strategy using data from the Evia Insights platform. Installed timer controls and override switches to optimise energy usage while maintaining essential security lighting during off-peak hours.
• 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: LED units improved visibility across key areas, including the main carpark, service yards, and walkways. Additionally, new feature lighting along the central walkway created a safe and inviting route from the car park to the retail units.
• 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: Restored façade lighting to its original design with upgraded fittings, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. Improved occupier signage visibility further strengthened brand presence.

This project aligns with the Retail Park Owners, Asset Managers, and Property Managers’ dedication to energy efficiency. By creating a safe, sustainable, and welcoming environment, the initiative has reduced energy consumption, minimised maintenance needs, and extended the lighting system’s operational lifespan.

🚀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀:

· Secured energy credits, validating the project’s financial and environmental benefits.
· Delivered on time and within budget.
· Enhanced the experience for owners, occupiers, customers, and visitors.
· Reduced operational costs and environmental footprint.
We extend our thanks to Sigma Retail Partners and Bannon for their invaluable support and collaboration throughout this project.

Our Managing Director, Adam Merriman, and Morgan James were delighted to attend this event hosted by the Irish Green Building Council (IGBC).

This event was a call to action for policymakers to prioritise sustainable construction practices while addressing issues around cost of living, nature, and climate. By focusing on green and sustainable building, we can transform residential spaces across Ireland into healthier, low-carbon environments, supporting both climate goals and an improved quality of life.

The IGBC presented a comprehensive policy framework, urging politicians to implement strategies that drive greener renovations, support energy efficiency, and promote buildings with lower environmental impacts.

The IGBC policy closely aligns with our commitment to advancing our clients’ ESG objectives through measurable, efficient, and cost-effective strategies.

Many thanks to Irish Green Building Council and Ellen McElligott Gill, MPA for organising the event, and Philip Lee LLP for hosting.

We’re delighted to have supported this year’s Newcastle Duathlon Community Day in Co. Wicklow! The event has become a key date in the local calendar, bringing together the local community for a fantastic day of activity, camaraderie, and giving back.

The funds raised from the event will make a meaningful impact, supporting several vital local organisations, including the Newcastle GAA Club and Newcastle First Responders. Their work is essential to the community’s health, safety, and well-being, and we’re happy to play a role in helping these organisations continue their invaluable efforts.

Congratulations to everyone who took part, from the dedicated participants to the incredible volunteers who made it all happen.

Energy Efficiency in action at Naas Retail Park!

Here’s a snapshot from our energy monitoring platform, showing live 5-minute interval data as we test our revised lighting strategy for the park. We’re already seeing promising results, with a 153 kWh reduction in energy consumption from 12:00 midnight to 6:30 am.

This real-time data enables us to measure the value of the initiatives and validate the energy savings achieved. It also allows us to fine-tune our approach to optimising energy performance and minimising unnecessary energy use.

This project is set to complete this week, and we look forward to sharing a full case study on our approach and results.

We are excited to announce our sponsorship of Rathangan GAA Juveniles Club with a brand-new set of jerseys! At Evia, we are dedicated to supporting local communities, and we believe there’s no better way than inspiring the next generation of athletes.

The juvenile club is also fortunate to have our very own Ger Clarke as a proud member!

Wishing Ger and the club the best of luck!!👏

Please see a recent snapshot from our energy monitoring platform, highlighting electricity consumption trends for a retail park we manage.

Our system continuously learns the asset’s energy patterns over time and alerts us when usage falls outside of the expected trend. As shown in the section circled in green, there was a notable deviation in consumption between 12:00 noon and 4:00 pm. Fortunately, this increase was planned as part of testing new strategies for an ongoing energy improvement project.

By leveraging this technology, we can identify unusual energy usage in real-time, optimise performance, and ensure that all actions contribute to our client’s energy reduction goals.

If it’s not measured, it’s not managed!
