A single EU wide scheme of classification for economic activities that aims to enhance transparency concerning sustainable activities. The EU taxonomy provides companies, investors, and policymakers with appropriate definitions for which economic activities can be considered environmentally sustainable. The Taxonomy Regulation came into force on 12 July 2020. Sustainable Investment may or may not be aligned with the Taxonomy.
